If you haven’t taken advantage of hiking Runyon yet, you are missing out on the best free activity in this city. Complimentary Yoga is also offered daily from 10:30 to 11:30 just inside the main entrance. There are about three different routes of varying difficulty you can hike, and the views on all are extraordinary – of both the scenic and the celebrity kind.

Most people don’t know that for $25 you can get a ticket in the “All you can eat pavilion” at Dodger Stadium. It doesn’t include beer, but its well worth the price if you plan on even buying 1 Dodger dog. If you are a Manny Ramirez enthusiast, you can now purchase a pair of tickets for $99 (Manny’s number), in “Mannywood” – the section by the foul pole closest to where he plays. Ramirez t-shirts are also included in the price.

Not for the faint of heart, this is a once in a lifetime experience. It is an all day adventure which includes a 2 hour hike each way to the only state-licensed jumping bridge in CA. There’s nothing like feeling your heart in your stomach as you bungee 10 stories toward the water below.

Silverlake turns into a gigantic music, food, and fun festival for these two days. Every year they have at least three major artists – last year included the Black Keys, and Coldwar Kids. Admission has gone up in recent years but last year it was $20 which is reasonable for the great bands and the good time.
 
 
 
Biking on Venice Beach

There are a plethora of bike and rollerblade shops to rent from along Venice Beach. Bike rentals start around $10 an hour, or for a few bucks more ride the beach in style on an old school beach cruiser. It’s about a 25 minute ride to the Santa Monica pier so bring a bike lock so you can ride the Ferris wheel before heading back.

From French tennis racquets, to Babe Ruth’s last uniform (Dodgers 1938) – this newly opened museum features a 10,000 piece collection of memorabilia. There is an extensive room dedicated to the Dodgers as well. $14 will buy you admission with your student ID.
